A1 · SUPPLEMENTARY GRAMMAR PRACTICE
Regular and irregular present tense verbs
Regular endings are -e, -st, -t, -en, -t, -en. Some stems add an extra e for pronunciation, as in du arbeitest. Some strong verbs change the stem vowel in du and er/sie/es, such as fahren and lesen. Sein and haben need their own forms. Do not extend a strong-verb vowel change to wir or ihr.
