Privacy & data notice

KLAR uses browser storage for practice, Supabase for sign-in and opted-in cloud saving, and Sites for website hosting. Email sign-in messages use the configured email provider. These services process the information needed to deliver the service.

What KLAR stores

Without an account, practice stays in this browser. When you enable saving, your progress, profile, written responses and exam attempts are saved in your Supabase-backed account.

Sign-in is remembered in this browser. On a shared device, sign out when you finish. Microphone recordings stay temporarily on your device and are removed when you leave the activity.

Institute enquiries

When you submit the Campus enquiry form, your institute and contact details are emailed through Hostinger to the KLAR partnerships team and its authorised enquiry contact so they can respond. Your email is used as the reply address. Supabase stores a request reference, time, delivery status and hashed email, network and request identifiers to limit abuse and prevent duplicate sending. Enquiries do not activate a trial. Contact support@klarlingo.com for access or deletion requests.

Class rankings

Joining is optional. With account saving enabled, your first submitted multiple-choice learning answer is also stored privately with its server result and time. Rankings show only your chosen nickname and correct-first-answer points to classmates. Your email, profile and answers are not shown on the leaderboard.

Institute classes

Joining an institute class is optional. When you consent, its administrator can see your class display name, activity totals by skill, objective mock-practice results for that class level and last saved time. Your email, profile, written answers and recordings are excluded. Leave a class in Institutes & classes to stop this access.

Manage your information

Download a backup in My progress. Remove profile details in My profile, saved progress in Account, and hide your ranking nickname and points by leaving the ranking group. Private server answer history remains after leaving; use the deletion request channel below to request its deletion. These controls do not delete your sign-in account or copies you downloaded.

Class sharing is limited to the progress summary you consent to share. No profile is automatically sent to institutes, mentors or employers. Full self-service account deletion is not available. Deleting a cloud snapshot does not delete your authentication account, server answer records, access records or downloaded backups.

Optional pilot analytics

Analytics is off by default. Signed-in learners can choose to share limited participation events and their level, linked to their account ID. No answers, profile, email or recordings are included. Events are kept for up to 90 days before the next analytics cleanup. You can stop collection and remove existing events in Pilot preferences.

Retention & deletion

Browser practice remains until you clear it or your browser removes it. Temporary recordings are discarded when you leave the activity. Cloud records remain until removed through the relevant control or by the operator. Service logs and backups may have separate retention periods; the operator’s full retention schedule and legal details are still pending publication.
