Introduce yourself in German: A1 examples

The idea

Build an introduction from your name, origin, home and interests. Use Ich heiße for your name, Ich komme aus for origin and Ich wohne in for where you live. Keep your first version short and adapt it to your own details.

Examples to say aloud

• Ich heiße Alex.
  My name is Alex.
• Ich komme aus Indien.
  I come from India.
• Ich wohne in Kochi.
  I live in Kochi.

A common mistake

Some countries need an article, such as aus der Schweiz. The example aus Indien has no article.
